Introduction
The PMP came into focus for me as I progressed in my career with DPR Construction. As my roles and responsibilities shifted to managing complex IT Infrastructure projects, I pursued the PMP to sharpen my project management skills.
After studying for 4-6 hours a day for 2 months, here’s how i did it.
Andrew Ramdayal’s Udemy Course
For the 35 contact hours required for the PMP application, I chose Andrew Ramdayal’s Udemy Course.
Andrew’s complete course consists of:
- 70.5 hours of on-demand video
- 2 practice tests
- 632 lectures
I watched the videos at 2x playback speed then took the small exam at the end of each section to test my knowledge.
I watched the course once through and didn’t spend much time re-watching the videos. I used the course mostly as an introduction to the concepts and to get my 35 contact hours.
PMI Study Hall
The majority of my time spent preparing for the exam was spent using PMI Study Hall.
Within Study Hall, I completed:
- Over 700+ practices questions
- 15 mini-exams
- 2 full mock exams
The questions were identical in structure and language to the real exam and I would not have passed without the practice I did in Study Hall.
Thanks!
Big shout out to the resources listed above for helping me pass the PMP exam.
I hope you’ve found this information helpful and best of luck in your IT journey!
